COVID-xix Patient Visitation Policy

Penn State Health is committed to the safety of patients, staff, visitors and the general public. Due to the continued presence of COVID-nineteen in the region, Penn Country Wellness is non allowing visitors who are not family/support persons in whatever of its facilities. Additional changes have been made to the guidelines for family/support persons. Developed inpatients and adult outpatient surgery patients may have one family/support persons per day. The family unit/support persons are not permitted to stay the night. Labor and Delivery and postpartum patients are permitted ane family unit/support persons for the entire duration of the stay.

Per the visitation restriction policy, no visitors, aside from patient-designated and exception approved family/support persons, are immune at this time.

Penn State Health is committed to the safety of patients, staff, visitors and the general public. Parking

Complimentary, user-friendly parking is available on the Bern Campus in our spacious surface lots, located simply off the principal entrance. Visitors at the Downtown Reading Campus should park on the surface lot at the corner of 6th and Walnut Streets or in the Walnut Medical Pavilion parking, off of Walnut Street, and enter through the primary archway located on 6th Street.

Meals and Snacks for Visitors

Main campus visitors are welcome to dine in our cafeteria which is located on the garden level, next to the chapel. It is open seven days a calendar week from vi:xxx a.m. to 7:00 p.m. We as well offer guest trays to our patients' friends and family. Guests may club meals using the aforementioned At Your Asking – Room Service Dining card located in the patient'due south room by calling extension 2700. The invitee tray will exist delivered with the patient'due south meal if requested and if it'due south possible. There is a $8.00 charge per invitee tray. Cash payment is payable to the room service staff when the guest tray is delivered. Our room service delivery staff cannot accept checks or credit cards.

Post, Flowers and Gifts

All post, flowers and gifts addressed to y'all will be delivered directly to your room. The address is: St. Joseph Medical Center, 2500 Bernville Road, Reading, PA 19605. Flowers are not permitted in the Disquisitional Care or the Neonatal Intensive Care Units and may not exist permitted for patients with certain atmospheric condition. If you have questions, check with your caregiver. If you wish to send mail to someone outside the hospital, please affix the appropriate amount of postage and requite it to your caregiver. Many people, including staff, take life-threatening allergies to latex, so please society mylar as opposed to latex balloons.

Hospitality Lounge Waiting Rooms

We welcome visitors to wait in the 2nd flooring Hospitality Lounge. Complimentary java and tea, and vending machines, are bachelor. Delight notify the nursing staff of your plans to expect in this area. Also, if you wish to visit a patient following a procedure, please make this request to the staff. The hospital deli, located on the garden level, is besides available to all visitors. The Disquisitional Care waiting room is located on the 2d floor and also is used for visitors and families waiting for patients undergoing cardiac and other outpatient procedures.
